- Soldier in 79th Cameron Highlanders, wounded at Waterloo. He settled in Manchester.
Note that a Donald Cameron of the same age and regiment, wounded in the shoulder at Waterloo, was apparently petitioning for payment of an army pension in Melbourne 1874.
He was known as accomplished violinist
