He may have been bapt. 14 Jul 1807, Bracadale, Skye, son of Donald Cameron and Margaret McLeod. Or bapt. 1 May 1803, Bracadale, Skye, son of Hugh Cameron and Flora Gillies. There are no children named Donald or Hugh amongst his known grandchildren.
