  1. 1.  Robert Cameron (son of Allan Cameron).

    Notes:

    Probably of this generation, brother of Callart.
    Officer in the French service, described as Captain reformed of Booth's regiment.
    In July 1742 he was imprisoned at Edinburgh for recruiting for the French service, along with Evan son of Duncan Cameron of Ballachulish and John son of Allan Cameron, tenant of Lochiel. (ref. London Evening Post, 10 July 1742)
    In November 1745 he was amongst prisoners taken from a French ship en route to Scotland, along with Samuel Cameron, 2nd Lieut in Drummond's regt. (ref. London Evening Post)

  1. 2.  Allan Cameron (son of Ewen Cameron).

    Notes:

    7th of Callart, succeeded ca 1700. He gave a receipt 16 Dec 1714 as Allan Cameron, son of Ewen Cameron of Callort (Ardgour MSS).

    2. Ewen Cameron
    3. John Cameron died in 1746 in Locharkaig.

    6th of Callart, he succeeded ca 1670. He gave a receipt as Ewine Cameron of Caldort 2 Apr 1670. He was further noted as a witness 23 Dec 1697 (Ardgour MSS).
    Descent is from the second son of Allan nan Creach, 12th Chief or Captain of Clan Cameron, passing sideways to a John Cameron of Lundavra on the death of Allan of Callart of the plague ca 1642-50.
