Schoolmaster at Murthly, Perthshire. He probably died 1796 (Ref. tree).
He may have had a brother Peter, with issue in Caputh.

- James Cameron was born in 1760 in Colrie, nr Kingswood, Perthshire; was christened on 9 Mar 1760 in Caputh, Perthshire; died in 1838.
- Thomas Cameron was born on 16 Jun 1768 in Colrie, Perthshire; was christened on 17 Jul 1768 in Caputh, Perthshire; died on 4 Feb 1861 in Kingswood, Little Dunkeld; was buried in Little Dunkeld.
- Margaret Cameron was christened on 27 Jun 1770 in Caputh, Perthshire; died in 1858.
- Helen Cameron was christened on 18 Dec 1781 in Caputh, Perthshire.
- John Cameron was christened on 14 Jan 1784 in Caputh, Perthshire.
- 1. David Cameron was christened on 3 Jun 1785 in Caputh, Perthshire.

8. | Hugh Macdonald (son of Ian MacDonald and Cameron). Notes:
He escaped the massacre at Glencoe and settled as Innkeeper at Dalpowie, nr Murthly, parish of Little Dunkeld, Perthshire, changing his name to Cameron.
He may have had another son, Peter, whose descendants lived at Caputh, Perthshire. A story also exists in that family of descent from McIan. (Ref. Scott Newport)
