Testament confirmed 24 Dec 1748 by Isobel Cameron, ?only lawfull child in life and executrix dative qua nearest of kin?.

Sir Ewen Cameron, of Lochiel, 17th Chief of Clan Cameron was born in Feb 1629 in Kilchurn Castle (son of John Cameron and Margaret Campbell); died in Feb 1719.

At some time he purchased land in Jamaica and some members of his family visited this estate, later occupied by his grandson, Evan.
He also bought land in New Jersey in 1685, sold by his son Donald in 1721.
