Shepherd from Lochaber

They migrated per "Earl Durham" from Inverness arriving Sydney 31 Oct 1837, brought out by the "the Donald McIntyres of Kayuga", possibly also of "The Cuan". Alexander worked as sheep manager at "The Cuan" or "Cuen Cuen", near Scone, and later settled at "Glenerne", Lower Rouchel. He was also recorded as shoemaker.

Buried as "Grazier, aged 77, son of Kenneth Cameron"

Alexander married Lucy Cameron in 1836 in Fort William. Lucy (daughter of Donald Cameron and Jane Johnston) was christened on 22 Aug 1811 in Kilmallie; died on 21 May 1867 in Rouchel Brook, NSW. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
