Probably the Donald Cameron aged 12 at school in Kilmallie in 1841, born "Foriegn Parts".
Arrived Sydney from England 20 Jan 1845 on "Midlothian", with Charles. Went to Qld and owned Emu Creek (nr Toowoomba - licensee 1859/60 electoral roll), Tarampa and "Lochiel" at Redbank Plains. May have gone to Europe 1855.
He died "aged 87".

2. | John Cameron, XIV of Glennevis was christened on 10 Oct 1782 in Kilmallie (son of Ewen Cameron, XII of Glennevis and Helen Grant); died on 5 Nov 1862 in Pimlico, London; was buried in Brompton Cemetery, London. Notes:
A planter in Berbice, British Guiana, in partnership with Donald Charles Cameron, Dawnie. Said to have been a Lieut. Colonel (Regiment unknown)
In 1851, having amassed large debts, he found a flaw in the entail, and sold Glennevis to Sir Duncan Cameron of Fassifern.
He was a widower in Jersey by the time of the 1851 census, living with his daughters and a grandson.
John married Elizabeth Sharpe in Berbice. Elizabeth (daughter of John Sharp and Elizabeth Hiatt) was born in 1775. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

She was described as a quadroon, and said to have been shunned when she went with her husband to Scotland. She probably died there ca 1850.

4. | Ewen Cameron, XII of Glennevis was born in 1738 (son of Alexander Cameron, of Glennevis and Mary Cameron); died on 11 Dec 1797 in Glen Nevis. Notes:
Joined 78th Fraser Highlanders as ensign 1757 (aged 18), lieut. 1758, wounded Jul 1759 and retired on half pay 1763
A story that "He was wounded in the neck while an infant, concealed in his mother's plaid after the '45" does not fit known dates. See - "in a letter sent to Bishop Forbes by the wife of Dr. Archibald Cameron regarding her sister married to Alexander Cameron of Glennevis she reports that the gold lace and gold buttons were cut from the young son's coat and that he was wounded."(Ref. 8. | Alexander Cameron, of Glennevis (son of Allan Cameron, of Glennevis); died on 18 May 1774 in Glen Nevis; was buried on 21 May 1774 in Achnawan. Notes:
"12th Chief of Glen Nevis", at the time of the '45. However some authorities name his son Ewen as 12th chief as noted below.
Listed as Captain in Lochiel's regiment.
It is noted he had 5 children living in 1746, when his house was burnt.
Surrendered ca March 1746 on parole at Inverary. Transferred to Edinburgh Castle March 1747, with Duncallon (Ref. London papers March 1747). Released July 1747 with Act of Indemnity.
