1. | Jean Cameron (daughter of Archibald Cameron, 1st of Dungallon and Isobel Cameron). Notes:
She was "heavy with child" in Glenhurich, May 1746 (Lochiel of the "45). In 1753 she came from Lisle in Flanders to try and save her husband from execution.
Living Aug 1768, when mentioned in letter of her son Donald
Jean married Dr Archibald Cameron in 1732/3. Archibald (son of John Cameron, 18th Chief of Clan Cameron and Isabel Campbell) was born in 1707; died on 7 Jun 1753 in Tyburn, London; was buried in Savoy Chapel, London. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
Notes:
Jean is recorded as having written in 1746 of having two children buried in Strontian, in 1748 of having "4 children surviving", and in 1753, shortly before his execution, Dr Archibald writes of his "7 surviving children" (Ref. Chris Doak)

"of them descended McDonald of Kenlochmoridart, McDonald of Glenaladale, McDonald of Scottash, Cameron of Letterffinlay, Cameron of Glenevis, Cameron of Glendessary, Cameron of Dungallon, Cameron of Errochd, Cameron of Glenmorison, McLean of Ardluin, Campbell of Carrodale in Kintyre, McLean of Drumnen, McLean of Kingerloch, and Sundry other private gentlemen".
