No birth record has been found to above parents, but probably correct. Census records are confusing. He is probably the 6 month old John Cameron, living in Dundee with grandmother Janet Anderson, seaman's wife, and Elspet I. Anderson, her daughter; and in 1861, 1871 as grandson of Janet Watson.
At death, parents given as John Cameron and Eliza Watson.
