3. | Anne Christina Campbell was born in Oct 1788; died on 23 May 1856 in Paisley . Notes:
She was dau. of Duncan Campbell, factor of Ardgour, and Ann Campbell; and widow of Allan Cameron of Inverscadell (with dau. Jessie b. ca 1816, "25" in 1841) - see Glendessary tree. Also sister of Mary Anne Campbell, I15187, of Callart family.
She was "at Culchenna" when married in 1821.
She was served heir to her brother Colin Campbell at Stronchriggan 6 Nov 1843, and to her aunt Arabella Campbell at Stronchriggan 22 Apr 1844

4. | Capt. Donald Cameron, of Strone was born in ca 1755 (son of John Cameron, of Strone and Jannet McIntosh); died on 12 May 1826. Notes:
There is as yet no documentary evidence to confirm his position in the family.
The printed version of his gravestone gives the date above, aged 71. Other readings have suggested "aged 74", and a death date of 12 Mar 1825.
He was listed as Lt. in 1791-2, Captain of 79th Regiment from 19 Aug 1793. Listed as Lieutenant, paying rent of 40 pounds at Achintore, Jan 1778, and at his marriage in 1784.
He was active at Strone from 1779, presumably after his brother's death, perhaps holding the Tack, while his cousin John had a lease.
He was Master of Lodge Fort William No 43 for many of the years between 1791 and 1816.
Donald married Margaret Cameron on 12 Nov 1784 in Edinburgh. Margaret (daughter of Dr Archibald Cameron and Jean Cameron) was born in ca 1750; died before 1796. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

8. | John Cameron, of Strone (son of Dugald Cameron, 13th of Strone and Jean McBean); died after 1773. Notes:
He served as Captain in Lochiel's regiment during the '45. In 1755 he was Sergeant in Hume's Regiment of Foot, and in 1763 Lieutenant in the 2nd Virginia Provincial Regiment, "with a numerous family of children (Ref. Chris Doak, Denis Cameron)
Described as Captain of Foot in North America by his brother Alexander in a valuation roll of 1761.
Also In West Indies 1766 "a brother of Stronse" (Ref. Scotland's Empire)

9. | Jannet McIntosh Notes:
She is recorded as holding the tack of Strone for her husband in 1755.

11. | Jean Cameron (daughter of Archibald Cameron, 1st of Dungallon and Isobel Cameron). Notes:
She was "heavy with child" in Glenhurich, May 1746 (Lochiel of the "45). In 1753 she came from Lisle in Flanders to try and save her husband from execution.

Notes:
Jean is recorded as having written in 1746 of having two children buried in Strontian, in 1748 of having "4 children surviving", and in 1753, shortly before his execution, Dr Archibald writes of his "7 surviving children" (Ref. Chris Doak)
