  1. 1.  Brigadier General Duncan Cameron (son of Allan Cameron and Helen Stewart); died on 2 Oct 1798 in Martinique.

    Notes:

    Quarter master general in the West Indies, 132nd Foot.

    Will of June 1797, proven 5 Apr 1799, London notes his sister Ann, his late brother Charles and their children.

    Duncan married Alicia in 1765 in Rochester, Kent. Alicia was born in ca 1746; died in 1812 in Rochester, Kent. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

  1. 2.  Allan Cameron (son of John Cameron); died in Oct 1749 in Dunkirk.

    Notes:

    9th of Callart.
    Wounded at Culloden, his estate was forfeited to the crown and he was banished to France. A letter from Colin Campbell of Glenure (Forfeited estate papers) dated 20 Nov 1749, states that he "died last month at Dunkirk".

    Allan married Helen Stewart. Helen died on 30 Sep 1790. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    1. John Cameron was born in ca 1730; died in Feb 1789.

    2. Ewen Cameron died in 1746.

    Notes:

    7th of Callart, succeeded ca 1700. He gave a receipt 16 Dec 1714 as Allan Cameron, son of Ewen Cameron of Callort (Ardgour MSS).
