They migrated to Hobart, with 6 children per "John Bell", from Greenock 31 Aug 1855, arriving Hobart Dec 1855. They then travelled to Launceston on "Duncan Hoyle" to settle. John was described as ploughman and farmer on arrival, Jessie as cook and dairymaid.
