    Artisan-missionary in Madagascar from 1825 to 1835 and again for some time from 1862. He was otherwise based in Capetown as land surveyor and builder.

    He is said to have spent 80 years in the service of Sir George Stewart and his successors at Murthly Castle.

    Recorded as weaver, of Kingswood, Little Dunkeld in 1851, living with his daughter, Ann.

    Notes:

    Australian tree names her as Margaret Robertson.

    She was probably named as Jean Cameron, living with her son Thomas, farmer, at Kingswood in 1841. Her husband has not been found at that census.
