He arrived Melbourne 1852. Later a squatter at Barcaldine, Queensland.
Probably the D. C. Cameron who was initial Secretary of Clan Cameron Association in Melbourne 1853.

An unidentified source gives 1813, while Australian certificates suggest 1814 or 1815. I have taken 1814 as most likely

First served as volunteer soldier in Gordon Highlanders, then commissioned in 79th Cameron Highlanders 1806, Lieut. 1807. In 1810 recorded as Lt 4th Battalion, Jersey.
From at least 1815, H.P. Lieut, 2nd Garrison Battalion at Gordonstoun, Kilmallie, later 4th Garrison Battalion, Capt.
Tenant in Lundavra 1815-36, and then Lianassie, Kintail until his death
