- A marriage has been noted at Ardnamurchan of Alexander Cameron in Swordelchaol and Mary Cameron on 22 May 1777.
Swordle is about a mile east of Kilmory, on the north coast of the Ardnamurchan peninsula. Swordlechaol was one of three crofting farms in the Swordle group, with 4 tenants at the time of its clearance in 1853
