  Notes	Lt Colonel d'Infantrie in 1765. One letter is addressed to Donald 22nd Lochiel at M. Chevalier Morris, Bart., Amboise. This may be confusing him with Sir Nicholas Morris, Bart., MP for Newport early/mid 1700s, no apparent relation (his son was Sir William). There is a suggestion he was an Irishman in the French service (Stewart, p. 126), but in a letter in 1765 he writes English as an undoubted Frenchman. They lived at Amboise, Touraine, in the late 1780's A possible descendant was Jacque Morres, who m. 27 Nov 1710, St Germaine-en-Laye
