  Notes	4th son, according to Clunes (Stewart p. 309). Generally recorded as youngest son. He had been in the West Indies prior to 1730 with his brother Alexander. He emigrated 1734 as a planter to the estate his grandfather Ewan had bought in Jamaica ("with a cargo of people from Maryborough"). He died before 1754, said to be a rich man. No known issue.
