  Notes	In 1809 a petition was addressed to the Rev. John Anderson, Factor for the Lochaber Estate of the Duke of Gordon by "widow Isabella Cameron" (also described as "widow Angus Cameron" and "daughter of Donald Mor Oig Cameron"). She wrote to the Factor pleading that she was in severe poverty, infirm and unable to pay the rent. One of approx. 7 or 8 tenants there, she clarified that she had lived at "Blarchoirn" for 28 years, and had been widowed for 4. She had "8 orphans", one of whom,"the 9 year old", had epilepsy, and required constant attention. (Ref. Chris Doak)
