Drowned in wreck of "Gothenburg", along with his uncle T.P.W. Cox and the latter's family.
The Argus of 8 Mar 1875 reports him as Beauchamp Cameron, aged 24, nephew of Catherine Cox, the widow of Matthew Dillon Cox (murdered May 1874 in Darwin). She died in the same wreck with 3 of her children.
